Happy Day! I have held onto this #mymindseyepaper #teresacollins 6×6″ patterned paper for years. I love it & find it hard to cut into because I got attached to it. Like, emotionally. Heheh. I’m not alone in this, right? Inspired by a friend’s birthday, I lovingly turned one sheet into 2 similar birthday cards, using #neenahtortillaenvironmental for the card base. Sentiment ©Stampin Up! was heat-embossed in #versamagicink on vellum. A brushed gold strip flanks each side. A bit of linen yarn & 3 enamel dots. Feels nice to use this paper, especially to celebrate a friend! #handmadecard #love
Upon pulling a piece of Bristol Smooth paper from the pad, I must smell this paper! It is intoxicating. It is smooth & luxurious. Water & colors move on it.
Another Distress Marker watercolor on a digistamp from Bugaboo Stamps. A few things Zig. Flicks of “Faded Jeans” . . . Wink of Stella.
Thanks . . . just thanks!
Finally had a play with this Sizzix Thinlits die by designer Debi Potter. It’s been in my craft stash since the end of the last holiday season. So lovely! Also, so many possibilities. For instant gratification, though, I kept it simple on a subtle patterned paper galaxy background. A bit of linen yarn. All on a Neenah Desert Storm card base. Will “Wink of Stella” some stars. Happy Day!
So thankful for so many incredible folks in my life. Here, I did some leaf and dot stamping in autumnal colors on #neenahtortilla recycled cardstock. This design is Pinterest-inspired (Claire Daly). I love the sentiment & leaf stamp from #thoughtfulbranches #stampinup. Finished with linen yarn tucked in just right & #vintagephotodistressink edges. Thanks for visiting! #handmadecard 🍂 #thxsomuch
Flip cards are fun. Flip-it style cards pull open from the sides, thus flipping the front sentiment over to reveal the inside sentiment. When flipped open, the inside of the card is flat. Wonder how it’s done? Various ways of cutting range from hand-done to electronic cutting software/machines. I’m in the middle with a few of my most-loved tools — a steel die and hand-cranked cutting machine.
Vertical & dimensional “FRIEND” (HeroArts) banner and inside “you mean the world to me” (Sizzix) sentiments are stamped in raspberry ink to match the “Flowering Fields” flowers, foliage & butterfly. Latter images ©StampinUp! (“Flowering Fields” stamp set.) Raspberry cotton ribbon is tied with a bit of linen thread. Also, did some signature edge-sponging in same dye ink. 🙂
A sweet card! Thanks for stopping by!
PS. Continuing to brave my Etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/PaperNummies — Thanks! Some more!

Measuring. Paper scissors flying. Scoring, folding, burnishing. All to ensure this little 3×3 sticky note holder has the right size inside file pocket to fit a gift card, should the giver so desire. I’m re-thinking the baker’s twine, meant to both hold a mini-pen and close the holder. It may end up a loop of elastic, perhaps. Finished with some stamping on velum & minor embellishing. Getting ready for Spring Craft Show!
OK. Some may recognize Stampin’ Up! (SU) products in my handmade item above. I admire so many designers of crafting supplies out there and I think SU is brilliant. I have spent years researching papercrafting & stamping and I’ll continue to use what I love. Last fall, I joined a SU virtual club in order to slowly try more products and I am impressed. During a recent SU promotion (“Sale-A-Bration”), I became an independent Stampin’ Up! “hobby demo” . . . I’ll be enjoying more supplies, for sure. But also, I’ll be stepping outside of my comfort zone to share my love of papercrafting with others. So, comments & questions are welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Now a set of 4 greeting cards, this khaki green cardstock was part of packing material in boxes of books. It typically piles up in stacks with a few other colors until it either gets donated or tossed into a recycling bin. I’m certainly a green-freak, most definitely a kraft-geek & this cardstock combines both. Just had to use it for some cards. And, just had to try this layout inspired by a recent pinterest perusal. Happy Day!
Hi. Thanks for stopping by!
Many palpable “thanks” grace the embossed front of this card. Literally a variety of “thanks” to touch and feel! Navy, white, and silver. Polka dots. Tiny pearls. To further convey thankfulness is a stamped sentiment opening over a gift card pocket inside.
Amazing fun to make this card. Feeling thankful. 😉
