Happy Day! I have held onto this #mymindseyepaper #teresacollins 6×6″ patterned paper for years. I love it & find it hard to cut into because I got attached to it. Like, emotionally. Heheh. I’m not alone in this, right? Inspired by a friend’s birthday, I lovingly turned one sheet into 2 similar birthday cards, using #neenahtortillaenvironmental for the card base. Sentiment ©Stampin Up! was heat-embossed in #versamagicink on vellum. A brushed gold strip flanks each side. A bit of linen yarn & 3 enamel dots. Feels nice to use this paper, especially to celebrate a friend! #handmadecard #love
Happy Father’ Day!
Last week, I was fortunate to share creativity with a favorite person & it was such fun. It was, however, one of those crafting days where one card went completely wrong. My stamping was a blobby mess. I couldn’t place any layer or embellishment on this card to my liking. Even so, I never wanted the crafty day to end!
So. Life isn’t perfect. I’m good at messing up. Happy Dad’s Day to those in my life who fostered my perseverance. Who loved me with all my imperfections. Thanks & enjoy today!
Ahh . . . imperfect. 🙂 Just a quick & quirky card using a dry-embossed card base and heat-embossed sentiment. Rubber stamping went wild to create a background on the top layer. Edges & a few raised flowers were inked with abandon. Finished with a wrap of black hemp cord and shiny dollops of enamel (by a shaky hand). Imperfection is alright by me.
Thanks for dropping by & here’s to a stellar day!
3×3″ cards get me. So dainty but straight to the point.
Making a few of these to give to a special friend. Navy is a favorite of hers so this includes navy striped stock behind a sentiment stamped in navy pigment ink & clear embossed for extra sheen. To keep it simple, just one flat blue sequin, one rhinestone, and a bit of silver cord finish it off. Nothing wrong with a teensie bit of bling!
PS – I’m happy to share products used. Just drop me a line if interested!
