Happy Day! I have held onto this #mymindseyepaper #teresacollins 6×6″ patterned paper for years. I love it & find it hard to cut into because I got attached to it. Like, emotionally. Heheh. I’m not alone in this, right? Inspired by a friend’s birthday, I lovingly turned one sheet into 2 similar birthday cards, using #neenahtortillaenvironmental for the card base. Sentiment ©Stampin Up! was heat-embossed in #versamagicink on vellum. A brushed gold strip flanks each side. A bit of linen yarn & 3 enamel dots. Feels nice to use this paper, especially to celebrate a friend! #handmadecard #love
Upon pulling a piece of Bristol Smooth paper from the pad, I must smell this paper! It is intoxicating. It is smooth & luxurious. Water & colors move on it.
Another Distress Marker watercolor on a digistamp from Bugaboo Stamps. A few things Zig. Flicks of “Faded Jeans” . . . Wink of Stella.
Thanks . . . just thanks!
Happy Father’ Day!
Last week, I was fortunate to share creativity with a favorite person & it was such fun. It was, however, one of those crafting days where one card went completely wrong. My stamping was a blobby mess. I couldn’t place any layer or embellishment on this card to my liking. Even so, I never wanted the crafty day to end!
So. Life isn’t perfect. I’m good at messing up. Happy Dad’s Day to those in my life who fostered my perseverance. Who loved me with all my imperfections. Thanks & enjoy today!
Flip cards are fun. Flip-it style cards pull open from the sides, thus flipping the front sentiment over to reveal the inside sentiment. When flipped open, the inside of the card is flat. Wonder how it’s done? Various ways of cutting range from hand-done to electronic cutting software/machines. I’m in the middle with a few of my most-loved tools — a steel die and hand-cranked cutting machine.
Vertical & dimensional “FRIEND” (HeroArts) banner and inside “you mean the world to me” (Sizzix) sentiments are stamped in raspberry ink to match the “Flowering Fields” flowers, foliage & butterfly. Latter images ©StampinUp! (“Flowering Fields” stamp set.) Raspberry cotton ribbon is tied with a bit of linen thread. Also, did some signature edge-sponging in same dye ink. 🙂
A sweet card! Thanks for stopping by!
PS. Continuing to brave my Etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/PaperNummies — Thanks! Some more!

Now a set of 4 greeting cards, this khaki green cardstock was part of packing material in boxes of books. It typically piles up in stacks with a few other colors until it either gets donated or tossed into a recycling bin. I’m certainly a green-freak, most definitely a kraft-geek & this cardstock combines both. Just had to use it for some cards. And, just had to try this layout inspired by a recent pinterest perusal. Happy Day!
Hi. Thanks for stopping by!
Many palpable “thanks” grace the embossed front of this card. Literally a variety of “thanks” to touch and feel! Navy, white, and silver. Polka dots. Tiny pearls. To further convey thankfulness is a stamped sentiment opening over a gift card pocket inside.
Amazing fun to make this card. Feeling thankful. 😉
Yesterday’s craft show was so fun. Sure, sharing my love of paper, ink, and string was why I was there. What I did not anticipate was the outpouring of love and support from family and friends! Not at all surprised, because, well these people are amazing. But, so touched. So grateful.
My dearest friend and her many expert hours of layering, embellishing, stamping, stuffing, lugging…anything. Everything. Endless support & creative ideas. The gorgeous display – all her. She continues to blow my mind daily in countless ways. Her splashes of color and class pulled everything together. I truly could go on forever. Love.
Another dear friend gave her whole day to work by my side & to passionately talk up our handmade paper nummies. She shines!
From start to finish, friends trickled in. All day. Even those who would never step foot into such an event. Incredible. Mom & Brother traveled to get here to give hugs & show love. Kiddo pitched in. Just so awesome!
The holiday shoppers were fantastic. The other vendors were helpful & engaging. The day whizzed by and was uber-enjoyed.
‘Twas a beautiful thing. Ever so thankful, I am.
Ah . . . it’s a special friend’s birthday today. She makes 45 look so very good!
I pulled this card from my stash of handmade Birthday Cards, all made with love. It’s on kraft cardstock with edges burnished in a coppery-gold to match the sheer ribbon. Went a little wild with coppery-gold dots here & there, because, well, metallic ink is such a blast. T’was enjoyable to make but even more fun to sync it with this good friend.
